SLANSHEI Cricket Challenge 2024 took place on 28 September from 8:00 am onwards at the SLIIT Campus Cricket Grounds. A total of 10 teams took part in a day of competition and fun. SLANSHEI members were extended an invitation through the Ministry of Education for an event with HE the President for state and non-state higher education academics on 13 August 2024 at 6:30 pm at Waters Edge, Battaramulla. President Dr Dayan Rajapakse took part in a panel discussion with HE the President.

SLANSHEI members were invited to a dialogue with Chairman UGC Prof. Sampath Amarasinghe, Education Minster Hon. Susil Premajayantha and former Minister Hon S.B Dissanayake on 8 August 2024.
